About Lacey
Lacey was a seven year old energetic, fun, kind and caring little girl with a heart full of gold. Her vibrant smile and cheeky giggle lit up every room she entered and she would make friends with any children she met. She was the perfect daughter to Ray & Jodie and a great sister to her older brother.
On the 14th August 2018 whilst taking a short family camping break of Lacey's choice, Lacey complained of feeling unwell as most children do, but then collapsed in her dads arms. However after an hour and a half (and the tremendous efforts of neighbouring campers and the emergency services), Lacey sadly passed away. After many tests, Lacey was diagnosed as having a weak heart. It is known as SUDC - sudden unexpected deaths in childhood.

When Lacey gained her butterfly wings, within moments her family were surrounded by love and support from family and friends and are still to this day.
Some families aren't as lucky to have a support network around them so the Love Of Lacey charity was set up.
Aim of Lacey's charity
The aim of the charity is to provide support and an escape for grieving families/carers of sudden death in young people.
It's not always financially possible for some to get away, to escape and spend time to grieve without the everyday hustle and bustle of life, so we want to provide a quiet relaxing retreat for those who find themselves in a similar situation.
Laceys love still shines on in everyone who met her and will carry on through our aim to help others.
LACEYS BUS AT STAGECOACH
After all the love and support from close friends and family, a further thank-you has to go out to Stagecoach buses for their continued support to Ray and Jodie. The bus which was decorated for Laceys day has now been officially named after our little butterfly and is still going to be used in service. If you see it driving around the Manchester area, take a snap and send it to us. We'd love to see where it's been spotted!
